How buying and using ORBO works – in plain words. Deutsche Fassung unten (authoritative).

1. Who sells ORBO

ORBO is developed by Loris Schulz (see legal notice). Licenses are sold by our reseller (merchant of record) Lemon Squeezy, LLC. When you buy, your contract of sale is with Lemon Squeezy; their terms, shown in the checkout, apply to payment, invoice and VAT. These terms govern your use of ORBO.

2. Trial and early access

You can use ORBO free of charge with all functions for three days (72 hours) from the end of the introduction – no account, no payment details. After that, ORBO asks you to unlock it; your settings and history stay on your Mac. Before sales open, ORBO can be used free of charge as an early-access version; your three trial days then start with the first version that can be bought.

3. Price

ORBO costs €4.99 once, including VAT. There is no subscription. The binding final price, including the VAT of your country, is shown in the checkout.

4. Your license

After purchase you receive a license key by email. It allows you to use ORBO without time limit on up to 3 of your Macs at the same time, privately and for your work. You can move an activation to another Mac at any time (Settings › License & Updates › Deactivate on this Mac).

Please don't publish or share your key, don't resell it to several people and don't circumvent the license check. You may pass the license on as a whole if you deactivate it on all your Macs and stop using ORBO yourself. Your statutory rights to make backups and to analyse the software for interoperability remain unaffected.

5. Updates

Updates are included at no extra cost and are offered automatically inside the app. They may improve, change or add functions; there is no claim to particular future functions. ORBO requires a supported version of macOS (currently macOS 26 or later on Apple Silicon).

6. Money-back promise

If ORBO isn't right for you, write to hallo@getorbo.de within 14 days of your purchase and you'll get your money back – no questions asked. The refund is made through Lemon Squeezy; your license key is then deactivated. Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal, remain unaffected.

7. Warranty and liability

The statutory warranty rights apply. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Please keep backups of important data, as with any software.

8. License check and data

To activate and occasionally confirm your license, ORBO sends your key and your Mac's name to Lemon Squeezy's license service, about once a day. Without an internet connection ORBO keeps working; only a clear answer from the license service (e.g. after a refund) ends an activation. Details: privacy policy.

9. Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.

Kauf- und Lizenzbedingungen

So funktionieren Kauf und Nutzung von ORBO – in einfachen Worten. Diese deutsche Fassung ist maßgeblich.

1. Wer ORBO verkauft

ORBO wird entwickelt von Loris Schulz (siehe Impressum). Lizenzen verkauft unser Wiederverkäufer (Merchant of Record) Lemon Squeezy, LLC. Beim Kauf kommt der Kaufvertrag mit Lemon Squeezy zustande; für Zahlung, Rechnung und Mehrwertsteuer gelten dessen Bedingungen, die dir im Checkout angezeigt werden. Für die Nutzung von ORBO gelten diese Bedingungen.

2. Testversion und Vorabversion

Du kannst ORBO ab dem Ende der Einführung drei Tage (72 Stunden) lang kostenlos mit allen Funktionen nutzen – ohne Konto und ohne Zahlungsdaten. Danach bittet ORBO dich, es freizuschalten; Einstellungen und Verlauf bleiben auf deinem Mac. Vor dem Verkaufsstart ist ORBO als Vorabversion kostenlos nutzbar; deine drei Testtage beginnen dann mit der ersten Version, die man kaufen kann.

3. Preis

ORBO kostet einmalig 4,99 € inklusive Mehrwertsteuer. Es gibt kein Abo. Den verbindlichen Endpreis inklusive der Mehrwertsteuer deines Landes zeigt der Checkout.

4. Deine Lizenz

Nach dem Kauf erhältst du per E-Mail einen Lizenzschlüssel. Er berechtigt dich, ORBO zeitlich unbegrenzt auf bis zu 3 deiner Macs gleichzeitig zu nutzen, privat und für deine Arbeit. Eine Aktivierung kannst du jederzeit auf einen anderen Mac umziehen (Einstellungen › Lizenz & Updates › Auf diesem Mac deaktivieren).

Bitte veröffentliche oder teile deinen Schlüssel nicht, verkaufe ihn nicht an mehrere Personen weiter und umgehe die Lizenzprüfung nicht. Du darfst die Lizenz als Ganzes weitergeben, wenn du sie auf all deinen Macs deaktivierst und ORBO selbst nicht mehr nutzt. Deine gesetzlichen Rechte, Sicherungskopien anzulegen und die Software zur Herstellung der Interoperabilität zu untersuchen, bleiben unberührt.

5. Updates

Updates sind ohne Aufpreis enthalten und werden in der App automatisch angeboten. Sie können Funktionen verbessern, ändern oder ergänzen; ein Anspruch auf bestimmte künftige Funktionen besteht nicht. ORBO setzt eine unterstützte macOS-Version voraus (derzeit macOS 26 oder neuer auf Apple Silicon).

6. Geld-zurück-Versprechen

Wenn ORBO nicht zu dir passt, schreib innerhalb von 14 Tagen nach dem Kauf an hallo@getorbo.de – du bekommst dein Geld zurück, ohne Begründung. Die Erstattung läuft über Lemon Squeezy; dein Lizenzschlüssel wird danach deaktiviert. Deine gesetzlichen Rechte, einschließlich eines etwaigen Widerrufsrechts, bleiben unberührt.

7. Gewährleistung und Haftung

Es gelten die gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsrechte. Wir haften unbeschränkt bei Vorsatz und grober Fahrlässigkeit, bei Verletzung von Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit sowie nach dem Produkthaftungsgesetz. Bei leichter Fahrlässigkeit haften wir nur für die Verletzung wesentlicher Vertragspflichten und begrenzt auf den typischen, vorhersehbaren Schaden. Sichere wichtige Daten bitte, wie bei jeder Software, regelmäßig.

8. Lizenzprüfung und Daten

Zum Aktivieren und gelegentlichen Bestätigen schickt ORBO deinen Schlüssel und den Namen deines Macs etwa einmal am Tag an den Lizenzdienst von Lemon Squeezy. Ohne Internet läuft ORBO weiter; nur eine klare Antwort des Lizenzdienstes (z. B. nach einer Erstattung) beendet eine Aktivierung. Details: Datenschutzerklärung.

9. Anwendbares Recht

Es gilt deutsches Recht. Bist du Verbraucher in der EU, bleiben die zwingenden Verbraucherschutzvorschriften deines Wohnsitzlandes unberührt.
